I really enjoyed the Open House Event April 29th!

WOW, thanks Karen for inviting me to your open house event April 29^th. 
I think those who didn’t make it to the Open House missed a great time. There was tons of food, music, giveaways and promos for discounted services. I wouldn’t dare try to eat it all. Trying to keep my figure.

The facility is gorgeous and the colors great! Very professionally laid out and a very warm, cozy feeling when you enter it. Those massage chairs are really something to take away the stress of the day.  I really enjoyed the music that you had. The DJ had a pretty good voice.

 There was a mixture of GG’s, CD and T-girls all of which chatted about all kinds of things happening in their lives and how great this event was. Food of course was a topic that was on the top of the list.  I never felt intimidated by anyone there and felt very comfortable mixing with your
other guests. Thank you for the warmest welcome and attention.

In your pricing brochure where you state Aesthetics by Karen Marlise believes in the respect and privacy of all individuals regardless of race, religion, age, handicap, sex or sexual orientation.  You will be treated with the utmost professionalism, care and respect. I had originally wondered how true that
really was. But since I have met you and had several services from you and the staff I truly understand and believe your philosophy. You and your staff are so very professional with all of us in the transgendered community.

So, I would say to anyone, if you haven’t stopped by her place in Seminole yet you really need to hop in the car and drive over there and get to know Karen and her staff. All consultations are free and from my personal experience the Best service ever!
 

The Best Experience Ever!

Last week I had my first electrolysis treatment at Aesthetics by Karen Marlise. Let me first tell you it was nothing like what I had expected. I had heard all the horror stories about the pain, scarring, extreme redness after the treatment. None of these ever manifested. From the time I entered the door of Aesthetics by Karen Marlies I was promptly greeted by Maxine and Lindsey. After I introduced myself and they both new I was a cd since I have had some emails with Karen prior to my appointment and they were very gracious and understanding. Since this was my first appointment since my initial consultation they needed to wait until Karen was done with another client before we began my treatments. When Karen had completed her attention to her patient who was leaving she greeted me with a hello and a Hug! Talk about making me feel comfortable. That hug helped relieve my apprehension to almost nothing. I felt I was truly with family that really cared about me and how I feel. Karen felt that due to the large amount of gray/white hair it would be best to begin with electrolysis on my face and neck first. Since I had been a bad girl and not used my sunscreen like Karen had told me to do, it is going to be awhile before she can do laser on my face. She then sent me off to the Electrolysis room to begin the removal of that ugly white stuff. Maxine and Lindsey helped prepare me for the procedure and it was decided Maxine would tackle me first. After numbing one side of my face she began to work on the other side. She was determining how sensitive I would be to the treatment. That is why one side was treated with a numbing agent and the other not. As Maxine began to zap my hairs I have to admit I expected a lot of pain or at least sharp jabs each time. For me it was as if she just was slightly pinching my face. We both found out that because I had limited discomfort she was able to go aggressively for the, who knows 10 millions hairs. I now realize I should have begun this process much earlier in life before so much of my hairs turned gray/white. The good news is once I reduce the sun effects on my face Karen feels extremely good about the fact we still can remove a good amount of dark hair on my face and around the lips, chin nose area of my face. So you girls who still have the majority or all of your facial and body hair that is dark in color; my recommendation is; if you are contemplating any hair removal in the future, MAKE THE APPOINTMENT NOW TO BEGIN THE TREATMENTS! Forgive me for yelling but I can’t stress it enough to talk to one of the ladies here at Aesthetics by Karen Marlise to understand your choices of treatments. After about an hour of my electrolysis it was time to do some laser treatments. Because I have not been a sun worshiper all of my body under my clothes is white enough to do some laser work. Karen and I agreed it we should start with my underarms and feet. Nothing is uglier than hairy feet in heels. Wouldn’t you agree? Just as before my treatment with Maxine I was expecting some discomfort with the laser treatment, well I had none! The caring and gentleness that Karen exudes is unbelievable. Actually now knowing her it really is believable. She and her staff believe it is not about the money for their services but rather it is all about us the patient. I have learned they will not compromise a patient’s safety and well being just to complete a treatment. You might be scolded for not doing what you are asked prior to a treatment but wouldn’t you agree that is much better than having a negative outcome from a procedure. I had looked into other providers of their services and after meeting Karen at the Tri-beta meeting in January I felt I would give them a try. Probably one of the best decisions I have made in sometime. I know you might be saying “Well it is your first treatment let’s see what happens after a few treatments.” I strongly believe I could not get better treatments anywhere else and I am confident I would not find this level of care and understanding of who I am, what my needs are and my level of comfort with the procedures and of course the pricing. Aesthetics by Karen Marlise has what I have seen the most affordable and upfront pricing. You will not get any surprises on your treatment pricing or care in my opinion. All Thumbs Up For Laser Hair Removal

I cannot believe someone finally found a quick, painfree method to permanent remove hair. I recently moved to Palm Harbor, Florida ; and now more than ever unwanted hair is a much bigger issue for me than it was when I lived up north. Weekends at the beach are a must do for me and my 8 year old and being able to toss on my swim suit without having to shave, pluck, tweezing or go through the waxing ruitual is vital. One never knows when it might rain so I need to be ready at all times. Thanks to Karen and her wonderful true laser equipment (unlike the pulse light lasers) I have the freedom to be hair free at all times. Karen, if I could bottle you and sell you I would. You really know your stuff!

I have been seeing Karen for electrolysis hair removal on my face, laser rejuvenation for my skin. After my first visit to Karen’s private salon and meeting her I felt comfortable right away and listened intently about what she had to say regarding electrolysis -vs- laser light hair removal and photo rejuvenation to improve my skin. She was very knowledgeable and I have never met a beauty professional who would spend that much time with me. I felt like I was a person and not just someone that was a number. Prior to going to Aesthetics by Karen Marlise I had been to several other medi-spas and even a dermatologist but I was not satisfied with having to sit in the waiting room for 45 minutes before my appointment and then another 20 waiting for MY TURN. When you go to Karen’s for your appointment there is not a lengthy waiting period before you treatments begin. In fact, I have never had to wait more than 5 minutes for Karen and I have seen her many times. We are now working on my underarms and leg laser hair removal and Karen’s professional manner in which she treats her patients and the quality of her work is phenominal. It is hard to imagine in a place like Tampa Bay, Florida a good aestheticians is hard to find but I found one and I love going to her private office instead of feeling as though everyone is staring at me in some commericalized franchise medi spa or doctors office wondering what treatments I am getting. Obviously, I have been very happy with Karen and will continue to seek her services as needed. Now that I have had real quality beauty care I wouldnt’ go anywhere else. You won’t be disappointed! Long drive for me, but sooo worth it!

Karen Marlise is simply the best and has truly changed my life! I used to think laser hair removal was for “rich” people, however, thankfully, Karen has made it so affordable, I have been able to get many body parts “lasered”. Call Karen before you do anything else – I have been searching for a GREAT Cosmetologist for years! I was referred to Karen by a friend and I am so glad I was put in contact with her. Karen Marlise is such an incredible cosmetologist. She’s doing laser to my face, and I see results already. She really knows what she is doing and she’s trained on so many different things to make us pretty. She’s done everything from my make up for special occasions to waxing my thighs, and eyebrows, coloring my hair. A true specialist, she always takes time to explain any procedure and answer any questions so we know what to expect. She’s so very personable, down to earth and friendly, I always have fun visiting her. Her salon is very discreet, private, and clean. She has only the newest machines, and everything you could possibly ask for. I plan on recommending all of my co-workers and friends to Karen. I have never felt so comfortable with a complete stranger as I did when I first met Karen. She is not only a great professional body makeover specialist, she is trully a great person to chat with too. I cannot speak for all women, but the ones I do know who have body aesthetic issues are not comfortable talking to strangers about them and most women think they are the only ones who have excessive hair issues around the bikini line. I my case I even had hair issues on my bottom. How embarassing ! How do you go to someone and tell them you have hair on your bum ? When I spoke to Karen she made me feel completely comfortable and informed me I was not the only gal in town who had hair problems. We just never speak of it so we all think we’re the only ones. Karen is the sole owner and operator in her salon so when you go she her… that is who you see everytime you go , so you don’t have to get undressed and feel the embarassement all over again each time you go to one of those medi spas, never knowing who is working the day you show up. If you are someone like me and want your own personal body aesthetic specialist, go to Karen. You won’t regret your decision. And if you have to drive a little further to get to her, don’t sweat it because she is so worth it! At least to me.

I have been a loyal customer of Karen’s for over a year. When I compare others in the
Tampa Bay area to the high quality and professionalism of Karen’s services, there really is no comparison. Many good salons offer good service but far too many times are not always consistent. I believe one of the reasons is the constant employee turn-over. When I go to get facials I want to know the person who is treatmenting me knows my skin history and sensitivities without having to explain everytime I go in for a facial to someone new. Same with a massage. Karen is the sole owner and operator. She knows her clients needs well and knows what they need to make them feel good inside and out. There is no constant change of personnel. I always get the same quality services with a smile and great conversation. Karen truly “listens” to me as to what I need to feel and look better. She delivers! I strongly recommend her for any feminine make over. She’s great on hair and coloring too. I’m so glad I found her through a friend who is also a client.

I have been going to Karen for laser hair removal for about a year now and I must say her prices are very fair and she is not satisfied until you are. She makes you feel at ease and is a total professional. I would never go anywhere else for a service like this! A Little Disappointed.

I went through approximately four treatments starting about a year ago, and I am a little disappointed. I know I did not go through with all the required treatments but there are areas I had done that actually seem denser than before. I guess I am a little bummed and should have completed the required visits as was discussed in the beginning.

I love the beach and I wanted to get permanent eyeliner and permanent hair removal so I could at the drop of hat run to the beach with my girlfriends. I have tried the waxing method but I have a several issue with ingrown hairs so I had Karen perform laser hair removal and I am so glad I did. I have no idea who invented laser hair removal but I think it is the invention of the century! Karen is so skilled in the Aesthetic Industry you should see her list of credentials. I think she has been educated in every area of beauty specialities that are available. I love my new permanent eyeliner which not only prevents the makeup smudging but actually makes my eyelashes look thicker! Karen is thorough, patient and very pleasant. I was getting laser hair removal from a local dermatologist and I got burned by some dimwit PA who had no more training in user lasers than did my dog. I contacted an attorney only to learn that Florida law says as long as a MD is in the building then anyone employed by him can perform the procedure, EVEN if they have had no training other than observing the doctor perform at least 1 treatment. There is much more to know when using a laser on someones skin than how to hold and fire it and it was a lesson well learned on my part. I will never walk in and trust someone knows what they are doing before I ask for their credentials. I located Karen and she repaired the damaged skin from the dimwit physciains assistant and then treated my hair problem with phenominal results. Karen has real lasers! If you have ever been to a tanning bed and came out without getting even a little pink then the tanning bulbs (lights) were old and needed to be replaced. The same thing applies to Laser Lights so if you go to a medi spa, salon or dermatologist and do not see significant hair reduction after one visit, don’t go back ! And whatever you do don’t sign a contract. That is how they make their money. They get you to sign a contract and then give you poor service using machines that haven’t been serviced since they purchased them and that is why they need you to be under a contract. Otherwise you wouldn’t return. Just as you wouldn’t return to a tanning bed that provided you with no tan.
