Important Reasons to Choose Karen For Permanent Makeup
I flew to Southern California for almost a year to a permanent cosmetic, electrology and massage college. I did a ton of research trying to find the best school possible. I had saved for three years and was willing to do whatever was needed to add new skills to my business. I was tired of just doing hair, skin and nails. I think that is one big reason I have always stayed so interested in my career. It is always ever changing and exciting learning new things. While at the school I worked one on one with the instructors every day performing electrology and permanent make up.
I wanted to be sure I was truly highly skilled before going home and adding the services to my shop.
I was very lucky meeting the most wonderful transgender electrologist with 18 years experience who needed her facial hair removed.
At the electrology college you could come in and get treated for ten dollars a hour by a student. She liked me and wanted the work done well so worked with me daily for months teaching me every technique to perform electrology correctly.
I worked very hard to be the best in the field by performing procedures from 9am until 8pm, 7 days a week thru the months I was there.
After moving to Florida I would fly to Texas to one of the foremost schools for permanent cosmetics to certified in every class the school offered. I certified in all aspects of permanent cosmetics. Most of the people in permanent cosmetics have only done a week or so of training I have found after researching the artist in the area. Many of them from local beauty schools or private 4 day instruction from self professed instructors adding income. I don’t believe 3 or 4 days anyone should be working on someone. Teaching someone on a piece of fruit etc. and teaching just enough to be dangerous. There is so much to know and Florida’s law doesn’t require at lease 50 hours of certification by true Certified Board Instructor and licensed permanent cosmetic school. Buyer beware and check out experience, certification, insurance and references. A highly skilled, trained, experienced, certified and insured artist will charge a fair price for her work and if the work is cheap there is a reason and I can beat you will be sorry and end up paying again to have it done right.
