What is mucosal eyeliner? Mucosal is the membrane tissue located above the lower eyelashes. Many make up artists apply traditional eyeliner on the mucosal membrane tissue for a thin fine line rather than under the bottom eyelashes. This technique is also possible with permanent make up eyeliner but applying permanent pigments to the tissue of the mucosal is a specialty service that takes years of practice to acquire the experience to perform this delicate procedure confidentally and safely. There are very few master cosmetic artists who can perform this procedure and it takes a very precise, steady hand to be extremely accurate to apply the permanent ink inside the eye, below and above the lash line into the Mucosal tissue. Be extremely careful when selecting a cosmetic artist to perform the mucosal eyeliner.
