Eyebrow Design, Shaping & Coloring

There are a lot of options when designing, shaping and coloring eyebrows but all results lead to having beautiful eyebrows. Your natural eyebrow shape, your current eyebrow shape as a result of plucking, waxing or shaving, the amount of eyebrow hair you have and your age will determine what eyebrow design methods and approaches I will take to correct your eyebrow, enhance your eyebrow or permanently give you back your eyebrows.

Eyebrow Assessment

Assessing the eyebrow is very important. The texture of the hair, color choices, effects of age, hair style, forehead, facial features, eye set, eye size, head shape, clients personality, and age are all factors when designing eyebrows for a client. Each person is quite unique and requires a unique eyebrow only an experienced permanent cosmetic artist can provide. Ensuring the client is getting the correct style of eyebrow for the shape of their face, an eyebrow appropriate for their age and the correct color so their eyebrows remain natural looking is imperative to achieve the perfect eyebrows.

Many women have beautiful natural eyebrows but they too need maintenance removing stray hairs. This can be achieved by plucking the eyebrow or permanently removing the unwanted hair by electrolysis resulting in permanent maintenance free eyebrows. Electrology is the only safe method of permanently destroying hair around the orbit of the eye.

Many clients, both men and women, have wonderfully natural shaped and groomed eyebrows but need to enhance the eyebrow with color. German dye is the best and safest facial dye on the market. It lasts for up to three months and is remarkably similar to hair color but designed specifically for eyebrows and lashes. The developer is much weaker so it will not damage the facial skin or the brow hair which is much more fragile than hair on the head. Other clients have overgrown, bushy ill shaped eyebrows that need shaping, grooming and in some cases coloring with dye or permanently inked. There is a lot to know when it comes to designing eyebrows for each individual so be sure you have an cosmetic specialist with the right training and plenty of experience before you have your eyebrows worked on.

This hair loss often occurs in patchy spots throughout the eyebrows and affects the overall appearance. Similarly, as we age, our eyebrows thin just as the hair on our head does.
